Thanks to the washing of hands (Stories of the Righteous, Issue 149)

In ancient Baghdad once lived a young Jew whose name was Matzliah, this Matzliach's father was very successful in his business and was very wealthy and also a Torah scholar, he sent his son Matzliah to the yeshiva so that he could acquire Torah and wisdom, and even after he married a wife, his father provided for him and his couple with honor, so that he could continue to study and ascend the virtues of Torah and virtue. A few years later, Matzliah's father passed away at a good age. And he bequeathed to his son a large inheritance, which included, among other things, a store of perfumes and all kinds of spices. Before his death, the father said to his son, "Here is my time to say goodbye to this world, the Creator, blessed be He, was at my help and I can leave you an inheritance both materially and spiritually, an inheritance that you should not be ashamed of at all, I am sure that you will know how to support your actions in the best possible way."
