Blessing and Greeting:
After the long interval, I received your letter of December 12th. I was gratified to read in it that you seem more pleased with your new position, and that you have good opportunities for the coming academic year, which I hope will materialize in a greater measure than anticipated. May this be also in the matters connected with your sons.
As we are now in the happy and auspicious days of Chanukah, which is observed, among other things, by lighting additional candles every night, may there be a growing measure of light and true happiness in your life, both spiritually and materially, which go hand in hand together. Since the good and the holy, which are symbolized by the term “light” (opposite of shadow), are infinite, having their source in the Infinite (Or En-Sof), there is always room for an additional measure of it, which provides a channel and vessel to receive an additional measure of Divine blessing.
Hoping to hear good news from you always,
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
