Current Times!
The nisyonos of Yosef Hatzadik correspond to the nisyonos of current times. We often wonder, as fathers and mothers, as mechanchim and mechanchos, how we can give our children the kochos and ability to prevail in the journey of time? And how do we work with our struggling children?
The answer is that just like Yosef managed to prevail over unimaginable difficulties due to his father’s belief in him and his refusal to give up on him, so will be the reaction of our children and talmidim if we do not give up on them.
If we have a child who seems out of the ordinary, does not fit in the box, and is more difficult, do we simply take comfort in the other twenty-three “regular good children” or do we seek to prevail? Do we refuse to give up? It is in our hands.
