Yaakov thought that was an excellent idea, so he brought an enormous stone and set it upright as a reminder of their peace agreement. Yaakov's sons gathered more stones and piled them up near the big stone, to show that they and their descendants would also keep the agreement.
Lavan then returned to Charan, while Yaakov and his family continued on their way back to their own land- Canaan.
