When You Reach the Lowest Point, Suddenly Come the Biggest Yeshuos

Seforno says that when you’re at the lowest of the low: עֲפַר הָאָרֶץ “in the dirt”, then you suddenly end up going to the biggest Yeshuos on all sides יָמָה וָקֵּדְמָה וכו' (westward and eastward, etc.). The Kli Yakar explains that when you are at the lowest point, then you give up all your Cheshbonos (strategies), since there is no hope Al Pi Tevah (in the normal way). This is when you really get Bitachon, since you have no choice. (see Rabeinu B'chayei).
