Fallout or Misunderstanding

Rebbe Responsa | December 31, 2025

Pesach wishes; weakened relationship with local shluchim caused by misunderstanding; restore relationship – you are needed to spread Yiddishkeit in your city

By the Grace of G-d
11th of Nissan, 5731
Brooklyn, Ν.Υ.
Mr. & Mrs. ...
Greeting and Blessing:

On the occasion of the forthcoming Yom-Tov Pesach, I send you my prayerful wishes that the Festival of Our Freedom bring you and yours true freedom, freedom from anxiety material and spiritual, from anything which might distract from serving G-d wholeheartedly and with joy, and to carry over this freedom and joy into the whole year.
Wishing you and yours a kosher and happy Pesach,
Cordially,
M. Schneerson

Your letters with enclosures were duly received.
P.S. Needless to say, I was sorry to read that your relationship with Rabbi & Mrs. ... was not as it used to be. Undoubtedly there was some misunderstanding, which should be rectified. I firmly hope that each one of you will do his part to see to it that the relationship should not only be restored to what it was in the past, but should even be improved and strengthened, in line with all positive matters which should be on the ascendancy. All the more so, since your fullest cooperation is of the utmost importance for the spreading of Yiddishkeit in your community.
May G-d grant that you should have good news to report also in this area.
