Oter Yisrael Bsifara A Higher Power

Oter Yisrael b'sifara is said about our head covering. Wearing something on our heads reminds us always that there is Someone above us. From when a Jewish boy is young, he is trained to keep his head covered.

As in the previous bracha, Ozer Yisrael b'gevurah, here, too, we specify Yisrael, because it is the Jewish people who are concerned about keeping their heads covered and staying aware of a Higher Power. This is a crown of glory and a great sense of pride for us.
