Yosef told his brothers: “Don’t feel bad for selling me here”. How could Yosef tell them not to worry, after having done such a horrific deed, i.e., to sell their own brother as a slave? And indeed, Yosef continues to elaborate how it was all Min HaShamayim and why it was all L'tovah. This is the greatness of Yosef in Bitachon. Perhaps, his very estrangement from the rest of his family, and his unpopularity among them caused him to be more and more alone with Hashem, growing in Emuna and Bitachon and in: הַכֹּל לְטוֹבָה it is all for the very best!
Those who feel lonely, including:
- Gerim
- Almanos
- Yesomim
- quiet types
- people with inferiority complexes
- people with difficult natures
- those who lack social skills
- people who are plagued by their bad and even addictive habits
- or their many sins and Chesronos
- bachelors
- those feeling left out and incapable
- or people who Stam (without any specific reason) have a tendency for anxiety and depression
Those are the Yosef’s who don’t realize that they are actually being forced to be close to their only Friend in Shamayim. There are people who think they are no good, and in truth they are Tzaddikim who hold up the Dor.
They have a major advantage in becoming great in the true greatness, of Emuna and Bitachon and insisting it’s all good since it’s Min HaShamayim. They aren’t so distracted by a noisy social life, and by all the successes of the average human being. Yet, it’s very difficult to go tell your “cruel” brothers: “It was all good; don’t feel bad!” But this is a grave mistake.
