Yosef and Yehudah

Yosef and Yehudah

In this week’s Torah portion, Yehudah approaches Yosef, then the ruler of Egypt, to ask him to free their brother Binyamin. In the Haftorah, it talks about how Moshiach, the descendant of Yehudah, will rule over everyone, including Yosef, in the ultimate Redemption. Yehudah needed to receive from Yosef, but this then revealed his own greatness.

In our times, we also have “Yehudah approaching Yosef”. The name of the Rebbe Rayatz, the father-in-law of the Rebbe King Moshiach Shlita, is Yosef Yitzchak. With the help of “Yosef”, the Rebbe Rayatz, we have Moshiach, descendant of Yehudah, the Rebbe King Moshiach Shlita, who will be the everlasting ruler.
