The Zera Shimshon Leaflets in Eight Languages
Received with Affection in Russian-Speaking Communities of Israel and the World
Every Jew is Deserving of Blessing and Salvation
The auspicious book Zera Shimshon has been received with enthusiasm throughout the Jewish Diaspora and has become a staple of the bookshelf and the landscape of Torah study in every synagogue, yeshivah, and kollel. There are hundreds of synagogues in Israel and across the globe where classes are held regularly: during the week, on Friday nights, and throughout Shabbat. The People of Israel are deeply connected to Zera Shimshon: tens of thousands of Jews do not let a Shabbat pass without delighting in the study of this book and sharing its extraordinary messages with their family members during the Shabbat meals.
The World Organization for the Dissemination of the Torah of Zera Shimshon has succeeded in spearheading a true revolution in the publication of the book and its immense segulah (spiritual remedy/virtue), for the merit of the multitudes. This project began twelve years ago with the weekly printing of tens of thousands of meticulously presented leaflets. These leaflets compile wonderful articles drawn from the teachings of the Zera Shimshon on the parashah of the week; they also include articles on the parashah extracted from his first work, Toldot Shimshon, regarding Pirkei Avot — all in accordance with the author's will expressed in the prologue of his book, where he requests the selection of "the best portion" of these insights.
The articles are presented with clarity and precision, making them accessible to everyone. Indeed, thousands study them consistently week after week: among them are Admorim and Rabbis, scholars and yeshivah students, heads of households, and even the very young. Many recount the beautiful habit they have established of mentioning the articles from the Zera Shimshon leaflet during the Shabbat meal in the presence of the entire family.
Over the years, numerous requests reached the World Organization for the Dissemination of the Torah of Zera Shimshon to translate this select leaflet into other languages. Consequently, it has been successfully translated weekly into English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Yiddish. Recently, new requests began to arrive repeatedly at the Organization's offices: why should Russian speakers be excluded? They, too, wish to connect with the Torah endowed with the segulah of Rabbeinu, the author of Zera Shimshon, to study his teachings and merit salvation according to his promise.
And indeed, we bring good news: in recent weeks, the Russian leaflet has joined its "brothers" in this diversity of languages. From now on, the Zera Shimshon leaflet in Russian will be published every week, edited with great taste and discernment by our dear friend, Rabbi Eliyahu Pinchas Yusopov, Shlit”a, who invests enormous effort and dedication to ensure the leaflet appears clearly and with dignity. In this way, new audiences—thousands of Russian-speaking Jews eager for the Torah of the author of Zera Shimshon—will be able to access these teachings.
And, Baruch Hashem, week after week new subscribers join the Russian edition, which has been received with special affection by Russian-speaking communities worldwide. Through this, the community attached to the teachings and eager for the novel insights of Rabbeinu the Zera Shimshon continues to grow significantly.
