Halleli Nafshi Eternal Power

In the first of the Hallelukahs, halleli nafshi es Hashem, David Hamelech states that a person should not put his trust in any human being, but only Hashem, who is Almighty. It is He who created the world and controls it, supervises it, and cares for even the weakest among us.

The might and influence of the powerful is only temporary, and, at best, lasts only till the moment of their inevitable death. Hashem, however, is eternal and all-powerful.
