However, this all relates to the Mishkon itself, but there needs to be an Avodah from the human and that is why the Possuk states: אָדָם כִּי יַקְרִּיב מִּכֶם קָרְבָן לַה׳ “When a man from [among] you, brings a sacrifice to HaShem.”
In addition to that which the Mishkon served as a dwelling place for the Divine presence as the Possuk states: וְעָשׂוּ לִּי מִּקְדָש וְשָכַנְתִּי בְתוֹכָם “They shall make for Me a sanctuary and I will dwell in them”, the RaMBaM writes about another aspect regarding the Beis HaMikdosh: מִּצְוַת עֲשֵּׂה לַעֲשׂוֹת בַיִּת לַה' מוּכָן לִּהְיוֹת מַקְרִּיבִּים בוֹ הַקָרְבָנוֹת. “It is a positive obligation to build a house for HaShem where offerings may be brought.”
This is the reason why following last week’s Parsha Parshas Pekudei in which the Torah tells us about the construction of the Mishkon the Torah tells about the ‘Korbonos’ in Parshas Va’Yikroh, and that as a result of bringing the ‘Korbonos’ which symbolise the concept of ‘Isarussah Dile’Tatoh’ we reach a place which is higher [even] than the Mishkon itself as the Possuk concludes: רֵּיחַ נִּיחוֹחַ לַה׳ “A pleasing fragrance to HaShem” and as our Sages explain these words: “This sacrifice gives Me pleasure, for I said My commandment, and My will was fulfilled!” As is explained at length in the Hemshech of the Maamor entitled ‘VeKochoh’ that it is an even greater pleasure for HaShem than it is a pleasure for the person.
