The Torah reading – 3 Torahs – Redemption!

Dvar Malchus for Kids | June 27, 2025

The month of Nisan is full of miracles. For that reason on rosh chodesh Nisan we read from one of the Torah portions that starts with "...Hachodesh hazeh lachem..." This posuk talks about rosh chodesh Nisan which according to Razal is called "the month of redemption". Afterwards we read about the Korban Pesach. The word pesach also means to skip over things which seem to us impossible to deal with.

In the second Torah, we read about rosh chodesh. The Torah reading hints to us that just as the moon appears to us anew at the beginning of the month, so too we can also renew and change ourselves into something entirely different and better.

The third Torah, this week's parsha, parshas vayikra, talks about how Hashem revealed Himself to Moshe in the mishkan. We learn that each and every one of us has "Moshe" within us, and as such we have the ability to be connected to Hashem just as Moshe was.
