Term התקין Indicates a Change in the Person Himself

Term "התקין" (and not "הכין") indicates a change in the person himself. Yaacov changed himself and expressed this change in the three actions of: Gifts – אהבה, War - יראה, Prayer – רחמים. Both in fighting one’s Yetzer HaRa and in educating Jewish children, it is insufficient to work in the usual manner; one needs to change oneself on all three fronts: אהבה, יראה, רחמים.
