SCIENCE: THE GHOSTLY MOON
Standard Copenhagen Quantum Mechanics implies reality is fuzzy and undefined until measured. Einstein rejected this "spooky" idea, famously asking: "Does the moon only exist when I look at it?"
De Broglie and Bohm argued that particles do have definite positions ("Hidden Variables") at all times. They are steered by an invisible "Pilot Wave": a quantum current that guides the particle’s path just as an ocean wave moves a surfer.
THE TORAH: REALITY’S MASK
םלוע (World) is connected to םלה (Concealment). Just as the invisible "Pilot Wave" guides the particle’s path, Divine Providence (Hashgacha Pratis) is the hidden current guiding every detail of existence.
Yaakov wrestling the "unknown man" represents the Jew struggling with this concealment. We fight "invisible battles" thinking they are random nature, but the goal is to reveal the G-dly truth hidden within the dark night of Galus.
