The Kings of Edom

And these are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before a king reigned over the Children of Israel.

The Ohr Hachaim explains that the Torah is listing anyone and everyone who provided a king for Edom, or had their family marry into the Edom family. All of them are destined to be destroyed when Edom is finally conquered at the end of days.

The Medrash says that Batzra will be destroyed, because one of the kings of Edom was from Batzra.

The Torah includes all of the towns from where the kings came, in order to list them for destruction purposes, when the correct time comes.
