The Wrong Address

A man once came to R’ Chaim Kanievsky seeking guidance, but accidentally went to the wrong house — a neighbor’s. Embarrassed, he left and only afterward realized the mistake. When he reached R’ Chaim and told him the story, R’ Chaim immediately said, “If you went there first, then Heaven wanted you to go there. Did you speak to the neighbor?” The man said no, and R’ Chaim sent him back. It turned out the neighbor desperately needed the visitor’s exact expertise, which no one else could have provided.
