UN Resolution on Golan Heights

On the 5/12/24 the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on giving Israel’s Golan Heights to Syria.. to Assad. 97 in favour, 64 agsinst.
To paraphrase a Yiddish saying, the world thinks and G-d laughs.
Assad who? Is there still a country called Syria?
