Taste and See

The Alter Rebbe was once in a town populated by opponents of Chassidus. He stood at the bima in in that hostile environment and announced in his signature chant, “Taste and see, Hashem is good!” The result was that tens of young Torah scholars became his disciples.

Nowadays, our Rebbe says that it is much easier to affect the world. We only have to leave our own self-serving calculations and nullify ourselves to the instruction of the Rebbe. Through spreading the wellspring of Chassidus we will hasten the coming of Moshiach.
