...I was pleased to read about your participation in the work of the Neshei u’Bnos Chabad. May G-d grant that it should proceed in a growing measure, with devotion and dedication. This is also one of the lessons of this week’s Sidra where we read how the Jewish women Shifrah and Puah were instrumental in building up the Jewish homes, and together with the other righteous women of their time brought about the deliverance from Egyptian bondage.

P.S. The dispatch of this letter has been delayed, and in the meantime your recent two letters have been received... In reply to your question why I advised your husband to continue his studies to qualify as a lawyer – it is simple: Inasmuch as he has already invested so much time and effort in this area, he should not let it go to waste, and should utilize it most effectively, namely by completing the course successfully. Furthermore the additional Parnosso that will eventually follow from this, could also be applied in spiritual matters. There is also a further point, namely the setting of an example of being a lawyer and a Yorei Shomayim at the same time, and showing the way to others. And there are yet other good reasons...
