Acknowledgment Do not bear false witness

Gal Einai | June 27, 2025

Acknowledgment is about acknowledging the truth. Its inner experience is one of earnestness (temimut). This is blemished by falsehood and all the more so by stating falsehood in a court of law. Like the stealer of people’s freedom, which is punishable by death, so the bearer of a false testimony can lead to the death of a defendant. Stressing the deep connection between victory and acknowledgment, one who lies during testimony is trying to steal something that does not belong to them.
