At Matan Torah, Klal Yisroel stood at the “bottom” of the mountain. But the Passuk doesn’t say: וַּיַּעַּמְדוּ which means just a standing position. It says: וַּיִתְיַּצְבוּ which means standing firmly, energetically and purposefully. (RSRH). We can suggest that a “mountain” is a Remez to “greatness”, and this teaches that even if a person is: בְתַּחְתִית ה ה ר on the “bottom” of “greatness”, and he isn’t that Rash'kebe'hag or Baal Kish'ron (smart) or famous Tzaddik or a big M'zakeh HaRabbim, etc.... he still has to be firm and proud of himself, and his, albeit measly, accomplishments.
Like Shevet Dan, the: י רוּד שֶּׁבִשְׁב טִים the lowest of the Shevotim, who was the only Shevet which named a city “Dan”: כְשֵׁם ד ן אֲבִיהֶּם יהושע יט מז after their ancestor Dan, to show how they are Davka proud of themselves. So next time you go to a Sheva Brachos, and you hear how everyone is raving over the Baalei Simcha and their qualities, don’t be Nis'pael!
