In פרשת יתרו we learn about מתן תורה.
The רמב"ם writes that while the entire תורה was given only to _________, we are commanded to compel all the nations of the world to accept upon themselves the seven מצוות that were given to בני נח.
Question:
Since the תורה was given only to Yidden, why does the רמב"ם connect the גויים keeping ________ seven מצוות, and מתן תורה?
Answer:
The first __ of the עשרת הדברות obligate us to accept only Hashem as our King. After we accept Hashem as our King, we can also accept upon ourselves to do His מצוות. And the purpose of מתן תורה is not only that we should do so, but that we should bring ____________ in the world to recognize that Hashem is the King of the world. This is why the רמב"ם connects their fulfillment of their מצוות as well with מתן תורה. Because just as when we received the תורה, we had to first accept Hashem as our King, and only then could we accept His מצוות, so too the בני נח must first accept Hashem as King, and then fulfill _______ מצוות because He commanded so.
