Blessing and Greeting:
After the long interval, I received your letter of July 14th. Needless to say, it was a good thing that you followed the advice of the doctor to postpone the removal of your daughter’s adenoids.
I was sorry to read about your husband's state of mind, which has been reflected in his own studies, down to his marks. I am greatly surprised at him. For surely he knows the ruling of the Shulchan Aruch (par. 231) about the duty to serve G-d in all one's ways. Therefore, having spent so much energy on his studies, and being within reach of completing his course, surely the sooner he will complete it and the better he will complete it, the greater will be the opportunity to use it in the service of G-d. I trust that it is unnecessary for me to elaborate on something which should be quite obvious to your husband. It is my sincere hope that from now on he will strengthen his faith in G-d and go about his studies and obligations with a spirit of confidence and true joy. All the more so as this is one of the basic principles of Chassidus, and this year being the 200th anniversary of the Yahrzeit of its founder, the saintly Baal Shem Tov.
I conclude with prayerful wishes that you complete your pregnancy and have a normal delivery in a happy and auspicious hour.
Hoping to hear good news from you,
With blessing,
By Nissan Mindel
