Have you ever heard of a: מֵ ת מִ צְ ו ה Meis Mitzva (neglected Mitzva) where there is a special Inyan to take care of it, since it’s being neglected? Or a Masechta, or a: מִ קְ צוֹעַּ topic in Torah that nobody learns, and it’s a special Zechus to be involved in it. (Seforim). The same way, we all tend to neglect and overlook tons of our Zechusim, almost as if they never happened. R' Nosson Wachtfogel Zatzal said that you can have a Talmid Chochom, who is like an Am HaAretz who says: מַּאי אַּהֲנוּ ל ן רַּב נ ן סנהדרין צט ב? What good does my Torah do?
When you recount your Zechusim (which should actually be part of your daily Mussar Seder), have in mind all these forsaken treasures that you own, yet you keep putting them down; either by simply not noticing them, or by taking them for granted, or by belittling them since they came easy to you, or by saying they weren’t L'shem Shamayim, or without Kavana, etc. All of the above types of: בִ יטוּל belittling are nothing more than: עַּ צַּ ת הַּ יֵצֶּ ר a trick of the Yetzer Hara Mamash!
This is the Koach of the: ס"א Satan and Amalek who is known for his: בִ יטוּ ל belittling and disrespecting and not giving value to Avodas Hashem.
