בראשית ברא אלקים את השמים ואת הארץ . בראשית א' א'
In the beginning Hashem created the heaven and the earth. Bereishis 1:1
The Rebbe Reb Simcha Bunim of Parshischa ZY”A, said that the goal of knowledge is to know that in the beginning Hashem {G-D} created the heaven and earth, only once we have that belief can we [seek to] delve further.
The Netziv [Reb Naftali Tzvi Yehuda Berlin ZY”A] Rosh Yeshiva of Volozhin, was once confronted by someone who was not observant and said the reason for his lack of observance. It was that he has a lot of “questions”. To that the Netziv answered, “Your questions are not questions, they are answers [to do as you wish.]”
The Lechevitcher Rebbe ZY”A said on a similar note that, “Kel A-don al kol hamasim” [recited at Shachris, Shabbos by day] is an answer to all questions.
