בראשית .פי 'בזוה"ק ירא בושת ירא שבת ,ומה ענין יראה ובושת לשבת
Bereishis - The Zohar Hakodosh says, “Fear – Respect” “fear – Shabbos” can we ask what is the connection of “fear – respect” to Shabbos? Explains the Chiddushei Harim ZY”A, as it says in the Gemoroh in Nedorim 20., that one who does not have the trait of respect it is known that his forefathers did not stand at Har [Mount] Sinai. As it says, למען תהי 'יראתו על פניכם כי זהו הבושה,
Hence once one sins, he no longer has this respect. On Shabbos the above respect returns to Klall Yisroel, since Moshe Rabeinu returns the crowns to Klall Yisroel which they received when they said “Naseh”- we will do before “Nishma”- we will listen. It returns to them the respect that they received at Har Sinai. Therefore, the Talmud Yerushalmi in Mesechtas [Tractate] Dimai says, a boor has the fear of Shabbos on him, and he will not lie. On Shabbos the shame is returned, and therefore - ירא שבת בושת .
