Use these words to fill in the blanks:
* created * mankind * precious * regretted *
IN THE PARSHA:
When Hashem saw how bad the people of נח’s generation became, He thought to destroy them completely.
As the פסוק says: םאָדָָהָָָהָאֶתעָשָָָיכ ָד'ָָחֶםנָָוַי ָ – Hashem _________ that He had made man (פרקָו,ָפסוקָו).
QUESTION:
If __________ as a whole was so bad that Hashem regretted having created them altogether, why did He in fact spare mankind, by allowing נח and his family to survive?
ANSWER:
רש"י explains that Hashem reconsidered what to do to mankind, as Hashem Himself says, “םיָעֲש ית ָכ ָ” – because He, Hashem, ___________ them (פרקָוָפסוקָז).
The very fact that mankind was created by Hashem is reason enough to find a way to ensure their survival, their continuity.
LIFE LESSON:
We must learn from this how careful we have to be in relating to a fellow Yid, even if we see that their behavior is not ideal. We must always remember that each and every Yid is a ___________ creation of Hashem, who refers to them as “רהָיָדַיָלְה תְפָא ָעֲש ָמַָָ,יעַָצֶרָמַטָָנ ָ” – a branch of Hashem’s planting, the work of His hands, in which He takes pride.
