When a person recognizes this nisayon, he now has accomplished great ביטול to the Ribbono shel Olam. And now he reiterates to himself the legendary Chazal that is brought by so many tzaddikim as the source for our entire attitude shift in this area: The same One Who decreed that oil should burn can make vinegar burn—there is no difference at all!
This person proclaims: “In the eyes of the Ribbono shel Olam, it doesn’t matter at all. Nothing changed. Until today, He made miracles (even for our most mundane daily affairs), and He will continue to make miracles. The fact that “the order of nature” dictates that this must follow such—this doesn’t matter to me. The Ribbono shel Olam can make it happen now, just as He was able to do it before. There is no difference. It doesn’t become more difficult for Him.
And my avodah is to recognize that it hasn’t become an iota more difficult for Him.
