On this topic, the Kedushas Levi says: “When a person needs a miracle from the Ribbono shel Olam, he must internalize that it isn’t coming to him by way of a miracle, but everything is dependent upon the will of the Creator Who is the Master of ability and the Master of orchestration; great and small are equal in His eyes.”
That is, a person must internalize that he doesn’t need a miracle; the problem is that he looked at it that way (as if he were asking for some deviation in nature) to begin with!
Continues the holy Berdichever: “And if a person strengthens his trust and belief in Hashem in this way when he needs something, whatever it may be, then Hashem will do for him and assist him.”
A person must say, “It isn’t connected to anyone or anything. What the Ribbono shel Olam wants is what will happen. Let me talk to Him. Let me believe that there is nothing preventing Him from altering the course of nature! In fact, my obsession with the outer layer is what’s causing the צמצום, the restriction in the first place.
