The Real Simcha and Sweetness is In Avodas Hashem

Bitachon Weekly | June 27, 2025

Moshe was constantly telling Paroh that we have to leave Mitzrayim to have a Yom Tov and a Chag in the Midbar. And we also ate the Korban Pesach in Mitzrayim, and Chazal say that it tasted like Gan Eden. The Mitzri'im smelled the delicious odor, and knew what they were missing. Also, when the Mon melted into rivers, deer would drink those rivers, and Goyim would capture the deer. When they ate the deer, they experienced a slight taste of the unreal tasty Mon that we had.

A person has a choice of what kind of fun he wants; Kosher fun, or Treife fun. We left Treife-fun Mitzrayim, to enjoy the true Simcha and give up Avoda Zara and Mitzri “fun”. When Hamas attacked Israel, they killed and kidnapped those people who were engaging in Avoda Zara and Gilui Arayos, but those who were dancing with the Torah were miraculously saved.

A clear message from Shamayim: to always daven for: וְהַעֲרֵב נָא "make the Torah and Ruchaniyus sweet!"
