Lavan and Besuel’s Answer and Instilling Fear of Heaven

ויען לבן ובתואל ]כ"ד נ'[
And Lovon and Besuel answered [24:50]

The Chossid, Reb Yehoshua of Toro Z"L, was the Chumash and Rashi Rebbi of The Beis Aharon ZY”A, as a child. It is told that the Beis Aharon's father Reb Osher of Stolin ZY"A entered where they were learning the Possuk, ויען לבן ובתואל - And Lovon and Besuel answered, on which Rashi explains, Lovon was a Roshoh (evil person), he sprang and spoke before his father. Reb Osher gave the Melamed a פאטש (smack) on his cheek and said to him (the מלמד ) with great fervor, "Such are you going to learn with my son Chumash? You must say it with great fervor, Rosha! - An evil he was! That is how you put יראת שמים - fear of Heaven in a child.”
