Therefore, one should not make light of even the seemingly smallest mitzvos, as performing them will lead to performing "bigger" mitzvos. Furthermore, even the smallest good deed or good word is treated with much value in Shomayim. In this vein, Sefer Toras Avos (page 87) relates that Rav Yechiel of Mosh zy"a explained the Mishnah (Avos 4:3) that says that “there is no man that doesn't have his hour (sha'ah)" by saying that this refers to an hour of Torah and good deeds in this world, which are is very valuable in Shomayim. He explained the Mishnah to be saying that one who doesn't have even this “is not a mensch (man) at all."
