When the Imrei Emes of Gur zy"a returned to Poland after his first trip to Eretz Yisroel, his Rebbitzen asked him, "Don't Chazal say (Bava Basra 158B) that the air of Eretz Yisroel makes a person smarter? What wisdom have you brought back with you?" He answered by quoting the Mishnah (Avos 3:13): "The help for acquiring wisdom is silence."
