תִּתֵן אֱמֶת לְיַעֲקֹּב חֶּסֶּד לְאַבְרָהָם. מיכה ז כ.
loves others just like he loves himself, but first he has to love himself! Ahron was buried on: הֹּר הָׁהָׁר Hor HaHar, one mountain on top of another, because an Ayin Tova person gets double Schar! And a double mountain means that YOU are also a mountain! First comes YOU! חַיֶיךָ קוֹדְ מִּין YOU come first!
Since you Fargin, you get a Chelek in everything the person you Fargin gets. And look how Ahron’s posterity ends up in Yerushalayim: מְשוֹש כָׁל הָׁאָׁרֶץ תהלים מח ג joy of the entire world, a place of total Simcha (where one is not even permitted to do mathematical problems, since while you try to figure it out, you may have slight distress.
Medrash
And then you have the Simchas Bais HaSho'eva in the Bais Hamikdash; all these are the fruits of a happy person: שֶשָׁמַח בִּגְדוּלַת אָׁחִּיו who rejoiced with his brother’s greatness; i.e., your Simcha spreads!
Your Simcha or Pain Spreads
But those who cried, will have: בִּכְיָׁה לְ דוֹרוֹת crying for generations; i.e., your pain spreads. When you have no reason to cry, and yet you cry, then Hashem will give a true reason to cry, Chas V'shalom! (e.g., the Churban Bais Hamikdash). And: מִּדָׁה טוֹבָׁה מְרוּבָׁה Hashem’s measurement of goodness is 500 times greater than His measurement of punishment. Those who are happy during sad times will be Zoche to unending goodness in Olam HaZeh and/or in Olam HaBah. This is why our Nisyonos are so good for us.
The Ohr HaChaim on Simcha
The Ohr HaChaim says that Hashem has the most Nachas from a human being, who can make himself happy and thank Hashem in dark Olam HaZeh despite his difficulties. In the Heim (pre-war Europe) they used to say: If you keep saying everything is good, then Hashem will show you even better, and vice versa, Chas V’shalom; so never complain. Better a positive lie than a negative truth.
Some people always put themselves down, and they think it’s a Mitzva. When you keep calling yourself a zero, you are not acknowledging Hashem’s goodness to you, and you will never Shteig the way you should, Chas V’shalom.
