This week’s Torah portion is called “Eikev”, which means “heel”. The heel is the lowest part of the body. The time of the “heel of Moshiach”, in which we find ourselves now, is the lowest of the generations, when there is a lot of darkness in the world, a lot of Chutzpah, etc. At the same time, the heel is the end and culmination of the body, symbolizing the time of the completion of the work that needed to be accomplished during exile, when it’s time to receive the reward of the true and complete Redemption. Now we just need G-d to make one motion to take the Jewish People out of exile and bring us to the Holy Land. Therefore we ask again and again, more strongly than ever, “Ad Mosai – Until when?!”
