Practical Judaism Preparing for Shabbos the Whole Week

Shammai would eat all his days in honor of Shabbos. If he would find a high-quality animal, he would buy it to eat on Shabbos. Then, if he found a better one, he would buy it for Shabbos and eat the first one on the weekday. Hillel did not do this, although he admitted that it is the more correct thing to do. But he trusted that G-d would give him the best food for Shabbos when he would need it.
