Rav Alexander Sender Eichenstein Zichron Devarim

Son of Rav Yitzchok Issac of Safrin. His brothers were the famed Rav Hirsh and Rav Yissachor Dov both of Zidatshuv and Rav Moshe of Samvur.

His wife Channa was the granddaughter of Rav Yaakov Kopel Likover an ancestor of the Chozeh of Lublin as well and the Chozeh was both his uncle and his primary rebbe and mentor. He also studied Chassidus under Rav Wolf of Zhbarazh and his brother Rav Tzvi Hirsh of Zidatshuv. He also served as the Rav of Zidatshuv and Zhorbono and after תקע''ב in Komarno.

The Chozeh testified that he was counted among the 36 hidden tzadikim the lamed vavniks. He passed away on 21 Av תקע''ח. After his passing he came to his brother Rav Tzvi Hirsh of Zidatshuv in a dream and revealed to him that his passing was like one of the ten martyrs of the asara harugei malchus with great and awesome self sacrifice and yichudim.
