No wonder! The whole essence of the Bais Hamikdash is a place that we became close to Hashem by being thankful, and: יָוּעַד as we know, the more you thank, the more you are given more and more goodness and pleasure! Indeed, the Churban Bais Hamikdash means a Churban of thankfulness in the world. That’s why the Meraglim and the Dor HaMidbar couldn’t enter Eretz Yisroel, since they were too kvetchy and were always complaining.
When you forget Hashem’s past goodness, you lose your Bitachon in a good future. עַד אָנָה יְנַאֲצֻנִי הָעָם הַזֶּה וְעַד אָנָה לֹא יַאֲמִינוּ בִי בְּכֹל הָאֹתוֹת אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי בְּקִרְבּ (שלח יד יא) If they would remember all the miracles I did for them, then they would finally believe in Me! That’s why remembering Yetzias Mitzrayim is #1 in Yiddishkeit. וְהָיָה כִּי תָבוֹא אֶל הָאָרֶץ וגו' וְלָקַחְתָּ מֵרֵאשִׁית כָּל פְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה (תבא כו אב) As soon as you come to Eretz Yisroel, you bring Bikkurim, which is a Gevaldige gigantic expression of thankfulness and remembering the past Nissim, like Yetzias Mitzrayim and how Hashem saved us from the “Arami” (Lavan) who tried to destroy our father (Yaakov).
By Going All-Out In Praise & Thankfulness You Are Building a New Bais Hamikdash
Similarly, 100 Brachos a big gesture of: בַחְשׁ וְהוֹדָאָה praise and thankfulness. Just as lack of thankfulness brings Churban Bais Hamikdash, so can a house be destroyed when each spouse is constantly remembering the evil of their partner. They can spend a lifetime of pain, merely because they weren’t taught how to Davka see ONLY good. When you see good, the good grows into more and more goodness!
Keep complaining about your spouse, or Chavrusa, boss, your own difficult nature, your bad Mazal, or your financial, health, or Ruchaniyus'dik etc. issues; and you create for yourself a mini-Churban Bais Hamikdash, which YOU caused, Rachmana Litzlan, because you never had Hadracha (guidance) for being positive.
When you are critical, you hurt your spouse, etc., and it makes them worse and worse, Chas V'shalom. There was once a star Menahel who did wonders, until people started up with loads of criticism and dirty politics. He became almost dysfunctional, Rachmana Litzlan! יָדֵינוּ לֹא שָׁפְכוּ אֶת הַדָּם הַזֶּה (They are responsible for his “spilled blood”!) And don’t “kill” yourself either. Be Moser Nefesh in order to keep “lying” that everything is okay, and you will be building a new “Bais Hamikdash”!
