Baal HaTurim: The Holy One, Bless is He, says that if a person would slaughter an animal on the first day of the week it would appear as if one were slaughtering for the sake of the Heavens and the earth which were created on the first day of Creation. If one slaughtered on the second day then appears as is slaughtering to the firmament which was created on the second day. Same with the third, fourth, fifth and sixth days. Rather one should wait until seven days have passed and thus it will be known that HaShem created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. Then, on the eighth day or after one may slaughter it for the sake of HaShem.
