A Siman in the Simanim

During the Rosh Hashana seuda, when we eat the simanim, we say יהי רצון...לראש ולא לזנב, ...to be as the head and not the tail. Taking a closer look at the word לראש, we notice it serves as an acronym for לעשות רצון אבינו שבשמים, to do the will of our Father in Heaven. This is one of the intentions that we should have in mind when saying these words.
