The Seder Hishtalshelus and the Three Crowns

הפצת המיינות חוצה | June 27, 2025

The second tier up (As the Possuk states קְּדֹשִים תִהְּיוּ ) symbolises the Kesser of the Ze’eir Anpin.

The third tier of holiness (As the Possuk states כִי קָּדוֹש אֲנִי ) is the state of Kesser of Arich which is what will be revealed in the future when Moshiach comes (this is the extent of the Tzemach Tzedek’s Maamor).

GIMMEL Accordingly, we can further add to this explanation of this Possuk; viz the Possuk דַּבֵּר אֶל כָּל עֲדַּת בְּנֵּי יִשְּרָּאֵּל גוֹ׳ includes all levels of the Seder Hishtalshelus from the bottom working upwards.

Subheadings

Kesser: Crown. As the crown sits on top of the head. Here we refer to that which sits above the Middos.

Ze’ir Anpin: The Supernal Middos of the world of Atzilus which are the ‘emotive attributes’ are referred to as ‘Ze’ier Anpin’ which literally means ‘small faces’ because they have a small amount of light in comparison to the lights that shine into the ‘Mochin’ which are the ‘intellectual attributes’ and they all have a smaller amount of light in comparison to the Divine light that shines in 'Arich Anpin' (Literally Long faces) which is a level beyond the supernal Sefiros and beyond the ‘Seder Hishtalshelus’...

Kesser of Aarich: Aarich is short for Aarich Anpin meaning long faces called so because of the immense amount of Divine light that is shone within. The level which sits above Aarich being the supernal Rotzon (Divine will).

Seder Hishtalshelus: The evolution and chain of events in the process of the spiritual cosmos. The order of descent and contraction of Hashem’s infinite Divine light and energy by way of a chain where each level in this chain is connected to the level above as well as the level below like a link in a chain as the infinite Divine light filters through levels and worlds in a gradual orderly fashion from the infinite supernal Divine light above contracting and descending down from one level to the next level through the ten supernal Sefiros in each of the four groups of spiritual worlds thus transforming the light from an all-powerful infinite light that is far too intense for any living being to experience down to a contracted light that can then create, sustain and vitalise all the worlds and beings and bring our finite world and its inhabitants into existence and continue to vitalise all the worlds and all that they contain. The Seder Hishtalshelus is primarily divided into four spiritual worlds, the worlds of 'Atzilus' (emanation) 'Briyah' (creation) 'Yetzirah' (formation) and 'Asiyah' (action).
