Shabbos Parshas Ki Seitzei, 11 Elul, 5784
On this Day
Today is the wedding anniversary of the Rebbe Rashab and Rebbetzin Shterna Sarah in 5635 (1875).
- During shvi’i and maftir, the baal korei reads zeicher zecher Amalek (first zeicher and then zecher).
- At Minchah (as well as on Monday and Thursday), at the end of the third aliyah, it is customary for the baal korei to raise his voice when reading the possuk of Hashkifah.
- After Minchah, read the second chapter of Pirkei Avos.

On this Day
Today is the wedding anniversary of the Frierdiker Rebbe and Rebbetzin Nechamah Dinah in 5657 (1897).
In connection with 11 and 13 Elul, the Rebbe suggested studying maamorim that discuss the topic of weddings, and especially the maamorim said at the wedding of the Frierdiker Rebbe (Samach Tesamach 5657).
Tuesday 14 Elul, 5784
- Today marks thirty days before Sukkos. Begin studying the halachos of Sukkos, and start providing those in need with provisions for Sukkos (as well as the other Tishrei holidays).
- Tuesday night is the last night to recite Kiddush Levanah, which may be said until 8:59 a.m. Wednesday morning (Jerusalem time).
