The Lowly Tzitzis:
Sefer Divrei Yisroel (Parshas Metzorah) quotes his grandfather, Rav Yechezkel of Kuzhmir zy”a, as asking why the bracha we recite when we put on a talis is “l’hisatef b’tzitzis” (to wrap in tzitzis), rather than “l’hisatef b’talis.” He answers that the tzitzis are lowly and close to the ground; therefore, they are the main thing and are fitting to be blessed.
