A Proud Heart to Serve Hashem:
Rav Bunim of Peshischa zy”a states that while the word “gedilim” means “threads”, it also connotes “gedulah”, greatness. Accordingly, the pasuk can be translated to mean that one should make himself large and proud to serve Hashem with an uplifted heart. One should never think he is too small and humble to serve Him.
