On the 15th of Elul, we celebrate the establishment of the Tomchei Temimim Yeshivah – which originated in the town of Lubavitcah and today has branches around the world. The uniqueness of this Yeshivah is that they learn both the revealed and mystical parts of the Torah, and the mystical teachings of Chassidus are studied with the same thorough analysis and understanding as the revealed parts of Torah such as Talmud and Jewish law. The students of the Yeshivah are called the “soldiers of the House of David”, who win against the situation of “they mocked the footsteps of Moshiach”.
In our times, we have already won this war, and it is time for the Redemption through Moshiach!
The students of Tomchei Temimim are called “lamps to illuminate” – spreading the light of Torah and Mitzvos around the world.
Every Jewish home in the world should be a miniature “Tomchei Temimim Yeshivah”, where Chassidus is learned, in addition to learning Torah in general.
