Rav Chaim Shlomo Rottenberg Kosoner Rebbe Shemua Tova

Rav Chaim Shlomo Halevi was the son of Rav Yehosef HaLevi Rottenberg of Kosoni. He was a scion of Tosch dynasty and the son-in-law of Rav Asher Yeshaya Rubin of Kolbosuv. Descended from Ropshitz.

In תרנ"ג Rav Rottenberg was appointed as Rav of NirAdani. In תרע"ב he moved to Kosoni and succeeded his father as Rav and Rebbe. He was renowned for his outstanding tzedakah, giving generously to those in need. He was a prolific writer of divrei Torah; however, he ordered his chiddushim burned. Whatever remained was printed and published as Shmua Tova.

He passed away 6 Teves .תר"ף 1920

He left behind his son Rav Moshe Shmuel Rottenberg and son-in-law and Rav Yoel Tzvi Roth, Av Beis Din, Tisa-Salka.
