Some people need to be treated with extra special kindness. It's a mitzvah to be nice to someone who converted (became Jewish by choice), and not to remind him that he was once not Jewish.
We're also told to be very kind to an orphan (a child who doesn't have parents), and a widow (a woman whose husband is no longer alive).
These are three special cases, but of course it's always the right thing to be kind and helpful to other people. Whenever you see someone who needs help in any way, try to make it easier for that person if you can. It's a very big mitzvah!
