THE SCIENCE: FIRE OR FAIL
A neuron doesn't think; it relays. When it fires, it releases chemicals across a tiny gap (synapse) to trigger the next cell. If a neuron stops transmitting, surrounding connections physically wither through synaptic pruning. The network's intelligence isn't stored in any single cell; it emerges only from continuous flow between them. But if survival requires constant transmission, what happens when a node hoards?
