NYC Mayor Adams Slams Anti-Israel Protests at Nova Exhibit

Shabbos Sippets | June 27, 2025

New York City Mayor Eric Adams visited the Nova music festival exhibit in New York City commemorating the horrific October 7th attacks, in response to antisemitic protests outside it on Monday. New York City Mayor Eric Adams said he was “extremely troubled” by the protestors who waved Hamas and Hezbollah flags in front of the Nova music festival exhibit in New York City on Monday night in a “Citywide Day of Rage” sponsored by pro-Palestinian group Within our Lifetime.

The Mayor paid a special visit to the exhibit of Tuesday, in solidarity with the people of Israel. Hamas should be destroyed, Adams said, adding it was disgusting to see its flag waved.

“You cannot call for peace while you’re celebrating what happened on October 7,” he said.

More people should see the Nova exhibit to understand the extent of the devastation that took place on October 7, he added. The Mayor visited in response to protestors who displayed vile acts of hate outside the exhibit on Monday.
